Wakering accepted an invite from Great Wakering Ladies Walking Football Team to participate in a tournament in support of their Parkinson Disease Charity. Wakering were represented by Brendan Still in goal and outfield John Burkett, Mark Withers, Phil Pearce, Dave Willis and Pino Schisano . Great Wakering Ladies were 15 strong
Four 15 minute matches were scheduled with Wakering fielding the normal 6 players while the Great Wakering Ladies fielded 7 players. All of the matches were played in a good spirit with a well drilled Great Wakering Ladies showing good footballing skills scoring 2 goals. The final match saw Great Wakering Ladies field 10 players against Wakerings 6 players.
