Wakering Blacks climbed back to the top spot after winning all 4 games in the latest round of league matches at Melbourne Park scoring 15 goals and conceding 2.
First match was against a stronger than usual Southend side who for parts of the game put up a strong Resistance but were unable to cope with Wakering’s slick passing game with Peter Henry with scoring all 4 well taken goals. Wakering 4 Southend 0
The second match against Eastwood Flacons who could not cope with Wakering pass and move game which led to 3 outstanding goals, one each from Peter Henry, Paul Tregent and Mark withers with the goal of the match. Wakering 3 Eastwood Falcons 0
The third match against Concord Rangers saw Wakering concede 2 goals against a far inferior side, Concord Rangers. Both goals were allowed to stand by the referee although clearly should have been disallowed for running. Wakering went a goal down in the first 30 seconds of the game but came back strongly to go ahead 4-1. Late on into the match the referee allowed another goal that should have been ruled out for a foul which allowed a Concord player to run onto the ball and score.
