Wakering 50’s remain unbeaten

Wakering played their second round matches winning one and drawing two to remain unbeaten and 2 points behind league leaders Cornard United Dynamos who they play in the next round.

The first match was against Grays who could not live with Wakerings pass and move game. Paul Wells was top scorer with 4 well taken goals. Bantin and Wills scoring one a piece. Wakering 6 Grays 0

The second match against Eastwood Falcons was a much closer game with Wakering just shading it and deserving to win. Wakering were awarded a penalty for dangerous play on the edge of Eastwood’s box. Bantin the clubs top scorer stepped up but missed firing the ball over the bar. Wakering 0 Eastwood Falcons 0

Wakerings last match against Garons Park was marred by inconsistent refereeing decisions that badly impacted on Wakering’s usual fast flowing pass and move game. The match ended 1-1 with Bantin scoring for Wakering.
