Wakering WFC 60’s travelled to Leyton Orient for the second round of matches against Chelmsford Blues and Clarets and Clacton Knights.
The first game against Clacton Knights saw Wakering battling against a 6 man stone wall defence which Clacton held out until a penalty was awarded against one of their players encroaching into the goal area. Wakering captain Peter Henry stepped up to slot a fierce shot into the left hand corner.

The second match was against Chelmsford Blues who were constantly being blown up for running and contact. Wakering played with control and good movement on and off the ball scoring 3 goals from Peter Henry, Gary Jackson and Jim Butterfield.

The Third match against Chelmsford saw Wakering completely dominate the game even thought Peter Henry was sent off for running and Mark Withers for decent both of which were unwarranted.
