Wakering’s first venture into the 65’s league sees them in third spot

Wakering entered the 65’s league for the first time playing 3 matches at Billericay Town FC.

The first match was against Paringdon Pirates who got off to a flyer scoring 2 very quick goals from Wakering’s keeper’s errors. After the slow start Wakering started to get into their pass and move game. However it was not as would be expected of any Wakering team. Wakering were shy in front of goal and did not make any real chances leaving the Pirates to run out 2-0 winners.

The second match against Billericay was a one sided affair with Wakering in full control running out 4-0 winners.

The last match against Leyton Orient saw Wakering finding some of the pass and move game which enabled them to create several good scoring chances. Orient had to work hard to contain Wakering and it is fair to say that a 0-0 draw was perhaps a fair result.
